![Freakshow]() Freakshow (2007)
IMDB rating: 3.60
Plot: In a modern retelling of Tod Browning’s “Freaks” (1932), “Freakshow” tells the story of a group of criminals who chose to hide out by working security at a traveling circus. At first, they plot with an insider to steal the ticket sales, but the wily Lucy has bigger plans. She convinces the gang to let her seduce and marry the aging circus owner, Lon, in order to secure the entire circus fortune after he “suffers an accident”. “People die all the time,” Lucy says. The freaks are on to their scheme, however, and when the youngest of them is caught by the ruthless gang, they show no mercy to ensure her silence. When the circus folk find the child’s remains, they swear vengeance, and no one is safe from their fury—least of all, the wily Lucy.

breastfeeding question ~ how do you get over the uncomfortable feeling of people staring at your boobs while..?
breast feeding??
seriously…. i see A LOT of people who dont care!! and although i am ALL for breastfeeding i do have to do the thin blanket thing… and even then i find people STARING waiting for it to fall to see something?!
i feel like a freakshow waiting to be exposed?!?! seriously…
how do i get over this feeling??
and anyone can say nursing shirts and what not… there is always some boob being exposed!!
help?
Just ignore it. Who cares? If the rest of the world has so little going on in their lives that a glimpse of your boob is so important to them, then that’s their problem.

You are doing a good thing. Who cares if a little boob gets exposed

there is nothing sexual about it when it is for a baby eating.
happy mommy

No, there’s really not any breast to see if you have a nursing tank under another shirt. Maybe my baby just has a big head, but she covers everything in that situation.
I found that the blanket just drew more attention, actually. It’s not that they’re waiting for it to fall. In my case it was people wondering why anyone would have a blanket at the zoo when it was 80 degrees.

I used a ring sling and nursed my baby when he was small. Some ring slings have extra fabric which you can use to drape over the top. I also used a belly band & there was almost no skin exposed and people didn’t even know I was nursing. The only time skin was really exposed was when I was getting him to latch on and I would just walk away for some privacy for a minute to latch him on and then we were in business.
But overall, people will catch a glance but they aren’t checking out your boob in "that way." They don’t really want to stare, they just accidentally look and don’t even think anything of it. If you act like it bothers you, then they will feel uncomfortable but if you act like its no big deal then they won’t either.

Tell yourself: do what you have to do.
It took me 3 babies to be comfortable w/ nursing in public.
P.S. The maya wrap is the greatest invention ever.

Do not let it get to you because it’s nature.Or you could just ask them what they are looking at or
tell them to take a picture and then they want have to stare at you.Tell them to get a life, grow up
and quit starring.

There’s probably less boob exposed than there would be if you were wearing a bikini or low cut top. Non-issue, as far as I was concerned.

When I was nursing my first breastfed baby, I was wondering how much skin showed with nursing tops, so I had my husband sit across from me when I was nursing. Guess what? The only skin that was showing when I was nursing in a nursing top was only visible if someone was standing right over the baby, looking down. From the front and the side, no skin visible. On the rare occasions that bit of skin bugged me, I just draped a burp cloth over it. No big deal.
How often does someone stand right over you while you’re nursing?

I’m way to busy staring into my baby’s beautiful eyes to care who is looking.

I would just say ingore it, althought it is hard.
I have an Udder Cover and LOVE it! They are actually having a promotion (at least I think it is still going on). Go to uddercovers.com and pick the one you want, then type in the word expecting in the promotion code box, and you get one FREE! You just have to pay for shipping. If you order one, I hope you love it. It has really given my confidence in public nursing.

I think I will probably be nervous as well when it comes time for me to do so, but one of my friends showed me her breastfeeding with a nursing tank on, and I really couldn’t see anything.
This past fall was the first time I saw someone breastfeeding in public, and I did catch myself staring..not because I was looking for her breast to fall out, but because I thought it was one of the most beautiful things I’ve seen.

You squirt them in the eye and say hey, my business
No seriously
I always just look them right back in the eye
It is well within your legal rights to breastfeed pretty much wherever you want to
And without fear of recrimination at that
It is your right
You shouldn’t feel guilty

I had a nursing shawl, a light blanket that snapped around my neck. A good test is to breastfeed in the mirror. Then you will quickly learn where you need to adjust to be more covered. However, after a while, I didn’t even care that much but I still never "tried" to show boob but wouldn’t freak out if I happened to show a tiny bit. One time at Sea World, it was so hot and all of the breastfeeding moms (all strangers, just happened to be a lot of breastfeeding moms) were all sitting on benches in the shade all breastfeeding our babies. We couldn’t cover our kids with blankets because it was too hot. All the daddy’s were just standing around and not one person looked over trying to peek. My mom held a sunhat over my daughter’s head to give me a little coverage while I hooked her on. Here’s a tip: don’t go to Sea World with a baby, it’s not fun!
