Help with bad neighbor cat problem!?
Our 2 house away neighbors let their cat roam the neighborhood (we don’t have fences), Last summer it attacked me and my 4 year old. Our backyard neighbor’s nanny and son were attacked too. I just decided to leave it alone and stay away from it. Recently it became more bold and has claimed our house as it’s territory and will sit on our porch and front lawn. We have 2 siamese cats and see this outdoor cat as caused the female to have displaced/misdirected aggression towards the other cat (previous never had a problem like this) and my 5 kids ages, 5, 2 and 1. She will hiss and attack constantly. We’ve started therapy on our cat and she seems to be improving however, if she sees the cat again she will undoubtly flip out. Our house is huge so we can’t close the windows, nor would we want to live like that and animal control said we have to trap the cat ourselves. Our neighbor as approached this family and they just don’t care. This cat is very aggressive and runs away from people, most of the time… unless it decides to attack you. Animal control also said they would just fine the bad neighbors and relase the cat to them again. I was considering catching the cat and driving 1 hour away and releasing it or telling a shelter I no longer wanted it and that it was mine. I’d guess it has a chip implantation, would they check that if I was the presumed owner. Any advice other then to run it over with my suv, I will not…
Opps I meant our indoor siamese cats see the outdoor cat and our female siamese has gone completely mad from the sight of the outdoor cat on our porch.
Get a gun…that easy.

You must report the attacks to the police. A cat attack may not be as bad as a dog attack but the owners still must be responsible for their pets.

Call animal control and report the cat, as well as the owner. Be sure to let them know the cat is mean and has attacked children in the neighborhood. If a vicious dog was on the loose, people would take it seriously. The same should apply for a cat! This stuff makes me NUTS! I have to license my dog and pick up his poop, but cat owners can just toss them outside and let them use the neighborhood as their cat-box! It’s ridiculous. AS far as your house cats go, I bet they will be fine once this nuisance cat is gone.

There is a motion detecting sprinkler that can deter cats. Here’s a funny youtube that shows the results. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iGh5aE5VG oI

cat napping has a mandatory minimum sentence of 5 years in jail, if you follow through with your plan i hope you go to jail and your kids get thrown into foster care for you even thinking of doing that.
give me a thumbs down rating i really dont care.
your talking about stealing someones beloved pet and taking it to a shelter where it will most likely be killed your sick.

Do NOT take the cat to a place the owner can’t get it back from.
Live trap it and take it to animal control. If the owner is willing to pay the $150 fee to get the cat back (that’s what they charge us in Milwaukee) then good. If not, the OWNER is making the decision about what happens to the cat. Not you.
Legally you can’t make that kind of decision. Use the option that’s in front of you that’s legal.
You can also use an outdoor spray that’s guaranteed to work (it was written up with good marks in our Sunday gardening supplement). Here’s the site — http://messinawildlife.com/products/cat- repellent.php — PROVIDED your cats don’t go outside to be affected by this.
