I’m really bored so I composed a list of quotes from the Harry Potter books and I wanted to see who else (besides me) could tell who said each one. The first person who has the character who can get who said it and the book it was in get best answer. You must have all quotes answered or it doesn’t count. Retrospective application of the law is not against human rights rules UK judge, is this a bad precedent?

The anti-avoidance legislation brought in by the 2008 Finance Act made life more difficult for UK residents to evade tax on income and gains made offshore. what should we make???
i go to a machinist school to learn cnc mills and lathes…we are competing in a competition called the manufacturers challenge….we need to build something made from parts that we have machined at school…we have many people in our group more than 10 and we have plenty of machines to use and plenty of material…..the only problem is we cant come up with any ideas of what to make….so any ideas out there???? any ideas will help

if it can be anything - maybe you should make a house - pool in the backyard, japanese garden out back, a nice water feature. in the house, you could build an elevator-like machine - for those in wheelchairs or handicap, going up and down the stairs is a challenge. Ive seen a few houses with elevators! (sooo cool!)

so yea.. u culd use architect craft cardboard (its water proof), and craft materials to make the backyard and swimming pool.. maybe my idea is too cliche.. but thats all ive got!

Ladies-does this sound good?
Im in college and there is this girl that i really like. Since the beginning of the school year we’ve gotten to know each other pretty well. We text each other, we talk at school, walk to classes together, etc. She probably knows that I like her because for her 21st birthday I gave her a rose and some chocolates in a spongebob squarepants bag (because I know that she likes spongebob). I gave it to her at the end of the day when I walked to her car with her. I’ve never been in a relationship before. Anyways, I plan to ask her on a formal date very soon. There may be one problem: another guy may be trying to move in on her. Honestly, I’m probably overreacting. I think that he invited her to his bday party because they exchanged numbers the other day and I saw that his bday was coming up. He invited me too, but I don’t know him well enough so I didn’t go-plus I was helping at my church anyway. The reason he asked her after class was because she doesn’t have a facebook. Plus, if they just exchanged numbers 3 days ago wouldn’t that be a little soon? I know too that he was in a pretty strong relationship up until about 2 months ago-is that enough time for him to move on and be ready to date again-remember I’m kinda new to this. Again, I’m probably overreacting (we texted a few hours ago and she didnt mention the party, but then again I didn’t ask about it or anything so idk).

Anyways, I kinda planned on asking her for a date on this tuesday. Here’s how I planned to ask her:
At the end of the day as we walk to our parking lot together (which we always do) I could get her to laugh (something that I can do no problem) and then tell her something like "you have a really pretty smile" (which is very, very true). Then if she reacts well to that I could say something like: "you know, I really like you and I was wondering if you would like to go out with me sometime…..like on a date". Would that be good? Do you think that I’m on the right track? If she doesn’t want to date me then I would really like to remain friends with her, so if you think that I should avoid any words or anything please let me know!!! Serious answers only please!!

Oh-and as for what to do on a date if she says yes I was thinking maybe dinner and a movie or perhaps dinner and ice skating (i havent done that in a while plus i think it would be fun to do together) or maybe both? Any other ideas are more than welcome. Thanks!
One more thing-I’m kinda orried that i might be too much of a friend. Shouldbi let this get to me or should I change anything because of that?

Yellow Jacket nest inside my house?
Hi, I have a bunch of fresh firewood in my basement. It would be normal to see some random ants in my basement from time to time, because they’d come from the wood & all. Well today I was in my kitchen and I saw a yellow jacket flying up into the lightbulb, "bouncing" off, flying down a bit, then back up. I don’t know it was sort of repetitive and then I guess it got tired & sat on my countertop when I killed it. I’m like 99% sure it was a queen, considering its size (it was bigger than any regular yellowjacket I see), and the fact that queens hibernate. I’m guessing the queen was hibernating in the tree that was chopped down & is now in my basement. I’m not worried about the queen itself, but the fact that it may have already started a nest somewhere. Would this be possible? How long would it normally take to make a nest? How many yellowjackets would there be if there was a nest? Would they survive with the queen.

I’m not really worried at all but hoping someone knows a bit of info just in case.

if the basement is cool its not so much to worry about unless you are allergic to them. the cooler temperatures in a normal basement and very low lighting will keep them semi dormant, as long as you put the wood straight into the burner and not sore a weeks supply upstairs warming next to the stove you shouldn’t be to bothered by them, they will just meet a fiery demise when the burner does its job. the few that escape will starve to death beating themselves against the nearest window, if you are very worried about it you could bomb the store room with a wasp insecticide.

No nests will be started until next spring. I have seen walls opened up where literally many hundreds of queen wasps were packed inside the wall, all were just waiting for spring to arrive so they could fly off and start nesting
